Abstract

ABSTRACT

               The purpose of conducting this research is to determine the application of the Contextual learning model in improving student learning outcomes in PAI subjects at SD N 3 Ulak Paceh, Lawang Wetan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, secondly, and to find out the results of applying the Contextual learning model to PAI subjects at SD N 3 Ulak Paceh, Lawang Wetan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, as well as knowing the effect of implementing the Contextual learning model in improving student learning outcomes in PAI subjects at SD N 3 Ulak Paceh, Lawang Wetan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The type of data in this research is quantitative data. The data collection method used in this research, namely observation, tests were used to determine the effect of the contextual learning model with audio-visual media on the material of the Messenger of Allah, My Idol in class V, tests were used to obtain the learning outcomes of class V students. Interviews and documentation. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the statistical formula of the "T" test for two small samples that are interconnected. The sample in this study was 25 class V students, consisting of 21 male students and 4 female students at SD N 3 Ulak Paceh.

            As for the research results, namely first, the results of the analysis of the teacher's ability assessment were obtained, namely a score of 4.5 and it can be interpreted that the score obtained on the assessment scale means that the implementation of the Contextual learning model is going well. Second, based on the normality test of the two data above, it can be concluded from the pretest results that the Km value is 0.75, located between -1 and +1 in (-1<0.01<1) and the Km value in the posttest results is 0.11 located between -1 and +1 in (-1<0.01<1) shows that the learning results of both data are normal or valid. Third, based on calculations using the "t" test formula, a tcount of 2.211 was obtained, then consulted with ttable with dk = (n1+n2)-2 or (25+25)-2 = 48 with a significance level of 5%, namely 1.677. After consultation it turned out that t count > t table or 2.211 > 1.677. This means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted by stating that there is an influence of applying the contextual learning model in PAI learning to improve the learning outcomes of class V students at SD N 3 Ulak Paceh and based on observations of student learning activities, there is an increase in student activity in learning.
