IMP IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU PEMBELAJARAN DI MA NURUL ISLAM BAYUNG LENCIR

ABSTRACT
The Merdeka Curriculum is the latest curriculum development in the Merdeka Curriculum, students are given space so that they develop their potential with the freedom of thought and autonomy provided by educational elements. The aims of this research are: (1) to describe the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum-based learning at MA Nurul Islam Bayung Lencir, (2) to determine the improvement in the quality of learning after implementing the Merdeka Curriculum at MA Nurul Islam Bayung Lencir.
This research uses a qualitative research approach with a qualitative descriptive research type and takes its background at MA Nurul Islam Bayung Lencir. The subjects in this research were the principal, Deputy Head of Curriculum, teachers and students. This data collection method uses interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used is qualitative descriptive data analysis. The data collection techniques that researchers use are interviews, observations and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques that researchers use are through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions.
The results of this research can be concluded that (1) The implementation of Independent Curriculum-based learning at MA Nurul Islam Bayung Lencir has followed stages in accordance with the Independent Curriculum concept even though there are obstacles in the absence of student or teacher handbooks, as a result teachers use relevant learning resources, (2) The quality of learning has increased in student learning achievement, active participation in learning, critical thinking skills, and the quality of interaction between teachers and students. Even though there are still deficiencies in creativity indicators, efforts continue to be made to develop them in terms of achievement.
