Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the functional approach of PAI teachers on students' morals in the AkidahAkhlak subject at MAN 1 Sekayu, MusiBanyuasin Regency. With a qualitative descriptive approach, regarding the effect of the functional approach of Islamic Religious Education teachers on students' morals in the AkidahAkhlak subject at MAN 1 Sekayu, MusiBanyuasin Regency. The object reflected is the class XII students totaling 20 people. The inductive deductive analysis test is carried out in several stages by grouping. The effect of the functional approach of PAI teachers on students' morality in the AqidahAkhlak subject at MAN 1 Sekayu, MusiBanyuasin Regency, there are 50%, categorized as very good with a frequency of 10 students, good 30%, with a frequency of 6 students and moderately categorized 20% with a frequency of 4 students. The functional approach of PAI teachers in carrying out teaching and learning activities has an influence on the morals of students at MAN 1 Sekayu because based on the results of interviews with PAI teachers, vice principals, and students as well as observations it is known that if the teacher is known by the community because he has succeeded in guiding his students to become better.
