Abstract

Abstract: An effective learning process cannot be separated from the teacher's ability to implement the theory and learning tools that are prepared optimally with full consideration according to the situation and conditions. Learning carried out by teachers in the implementation to convey information to students in addition to using methods and media, also of course using approaches that are in accordance with the situation and environmental conditions where teachers provide learning so that student learning outcomes are maximised. However, based on the results of the researcher's awa observation at SMP Negeri 12 Bayung Lencir, which shows that student learning outcomes are still low. The author's hypothesis is that the factor that makes this happen is because the learning approach used is not appropriate, which is not in accordance with PAI learning materials and the characteristics of students who always want to be directly involved both in speaking and to express their ideas. The learning approach that suits these conditions is the learning community approach, where in the application of this approach all students must have the opportunity to talk and share ideas, listen carefully to other students' ideas, and work together to build knowledge with friends in their group. This problem is the background to find out the implementation of the learning community approach in improving PAI learning outcomes in class VII at SMP Negeri 12 Bayung Lencir, Musi Banyuasin Regency.

This research is Field Risearch with a population of 99 students from class VII, VIII A, VIII B, and class IX which is divided into 4 classes while the sample is 26 students, namely only class VII which is used as the object of research and can represent the entire population. Type of quantitative research with statistical analysis. The method used is the experimental method, and the collection technique by means of interviews, questionnaires or questionnaires and documentation.

From the results of this study it can be seen that the learning community learning approach can improve student outcomes learning in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Bayung Lencir as evidenced by student learning outcomes before the application of the learning community learning method with an average percentage of 63.75 and student learning outcomes after the application of the learning community learning method with an average percentage of 72.04, then the learning community learning method is declared effective.
